Odawa Neeskak Toastmasters is Ottawa’s only Aboriginal Toastmasters club. Situated in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, we invite people of all nations to come and learn about communication and leadership with us. It is a unique club that showcases Aboriginal content while following the Toastmasters International framework.
At Odawa Neeskak Toastmasters, we learn by speaking in a group and working with others in a supportive environment. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation. Our meetings are as varied as our members and can include storytelling, guest speakers from the community, Aboriginal issues and culture, and much more.
We meet at the Odawa Native Friendship Centre, 12 Stirling Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K1Y 1P8 on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 5:15 p.m.
